We are Micky and Pame, and this is Last Frontier. To get you out on the road we need some of your data. Here it is, plainly: what we keep, what for, who we share it with and how to ask us to delete it.
Who is responsible
Last Frontier · Moto Tour Patagonia Experience, operating out of Puerto Madryn and Esquel, province of Chubut, Argentina. For anything to do with your data, write to us at hola@lastfrontier.site.
What data we keep
Only what it takes for you to book and for the trip to go well. No advertising profiles, no selling data to third parties.
| Data | What for |
|---|---|
| Email and password | Creating your account and letting you back in. The password is stored encrypted: we cannot read it. |
| First name, last name, phone and country | Identifying you on a booking and being able to reach you. |
| Emergency contact | Knowing who to call if something happens out on the road. |
| Riding level, years of experience, own bike, helmet and jacket sizes | Putting the group together, assigning you the right bike and preparing your gear. |
| Allergies, medication or physical condition | Looking after you during the trip. Only if you choose to enter it. |
| Driving licence and ID document | Checking that you can ride legally. They are stored in a private space, not publicly accessible. |
| Bookings, payments and coupons | Managing your booking and keeping the accounting records the law requires of us. |
| Last four digits of your card | So you can tell which card you paid with. The full number never reaches us. |
| Photos and videos from the trip | Giving you your memories. Only the people on that departure can see them. |
| Enquiries you leave through the form | Answering you. |
About medical information. It is sensitive data and we treat it as such. Entering it is optional, it is not shared with anyone outside the person guiding your departure, it does not appear on any public page, and you can delete it from your account whenever you want. If you would rather not enter it and tell us in person before we set off, that works for us.
If you sign in with Google
You can create your account with Google instead of using a password. In that case Google gives us your name, your email address and your profile picture, and nothing else. We do not access your mail, your contacts, your calendar or any other data in your Google account, and we cannot do anything on your behalf.
You can revoke that access whenever you want from the security settings of your Google account. If you do, your Last Frontier account still exists: to get back in you will need to set a password using the recovery option.
Who we share it with
With no one who is not needed for the service to work. We do not sell or hand over data for advertising. The providers involved are:
- Supabase — stores the database, the accounts and the files you upload.
- Resend — sends the confirmation, password recovery and booking notice emails.
- Mercado Pago — processes payments. Your card details go straight to that platform; all that reaches us is the result and the last four digits.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
- Dattaweb — provides the server the site runs on.
Some of these providers process data outside Argentina. We may also have to hand over information if a competent authority requires it of us.
How long we keep it
Your account and its contents, for as long as you keep it open. Bookings and payments, for the period accounting and tax rules require, even if you close your account: they are the record of a transaction and we cannot delete them sooner. The documentation you upload we keep until the trip it belongs to is over, and then we delete it.
What you can ask of us
Law 25.326 on the Protection of Personal Data gives you rights over your information. You can ask us to:
- Give you access to the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything wrong or incomplete.
- Delete it, with the exception of the accounting records explained above.
- Stop sending you news and reminders, without losing your account.
Many of these you can do yourself from My account. For the rest, write to us and we will get back to you.
The supervisory authority is the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública, where you can file a complaint if you believe we are not complying.
How we look after it
The site travels encrypted end to end. Passwords are stored with a hashing algorithm and no one —not us either— can recover them. The database is set up so each person can only read and change what is theirs, and that rule is enforced in the database itself, not just on screen. The documents you upload go to a private space, separated by user.
No system is infallible. If an incident affecting your data ever happened, we would tell you.
Cookies
We only use the cookies needed to keep your session open. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not use analytics tools that profile you.
Minors
The service is meant for people over 18 with a valid driving licence. We do not create accounts for minors.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. If the change is significant, we will let you know by email before it takes effect.
Any questions about your data?
Write to us at hola@lastfrontier.site and we will answer you ourselves, not an automated form.
